Betfair iPhone Web Apps
Mobile betting has been a massive growth area for bookmakers in the last few years. In the summer of 2011, Grand Parade were commissioned by Betfair to build a web version of their iPhone app. The idea behind it is to show web users the full functionality of the Betfair iPhone app to increase awareness and downloads.
Grand Parade built the iPhone web app from scratch, rebuilding all functionality of the iPhone app including browsing through markets, user preferences, login functionality and the ability to place a bet within the web app using the Betfair API. The web app is promoted within an iframe on a marketing landing page. The app is built in JavaScript so users arriving at the landing page on an iPad or iPhone will be able to see the app and place a bet within in.
