Senior Back End Software Developer in Test

Our team is building the next generation Sports Betting platform that optimises flexibility performance, responsiveness and resiliency. The technologies we like to use include Java, SpringBoot, Kafka, Cassandra, Postgres, Kubernetes, AWS, Postgres, etc.

We are looking for an experienced Software Developer in Test (Backend). It’s a hands-on role within a delivery team and you won’t ever be sat twiddling your thumbs. We’re looking for a curious engineer who wants to push forward, faster and smarter, never settling for second best. And if you’re anything like us, you won’t rest until a problem is solved.

Your role in the team

  • Analysing and identifying the most efficient level and type of testing needed across the development and release cycle, and which automated tests will provide the most value and coverage
  • Developing and evolving test frameworks, tooling, CI / CD and testing infrastructure
  • Working with the team to develop feature test strategies and writing verification plans using existing test infrastructure
  • Translating functional and non-functional requirements into test cases
  • Working closely with the team to analyse, debug and resolve the bugs
  • A commitment to monitoring and observability

What we are looking for

  • Have great testing knowledge
  • Have the ability to code, ideally in Java but we can teach you
  • Have experience with Performance Testing using tools such as JMeter/Gatling
  • Have familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS, Microservices, RESTful APIs, Docker, and Kubernetes
